In 1979, when Rakesh Johar graduated from Delhi College of Engineering ( Now rechristened as Delhi Technological University), he joined India’s premier printing company The Thomson Press. But the burning desire within him was that of an entrepreneur and within an year he left the job to start his own company. Today this technocrat with over 37 years of experience in the industry successfully boasts of a world-class printing set-up. During this long tenure not only has he installed machines after machine, but he has been highly successful in creating and nurturing young talent in various departments in the company. In the year 2002, Varun Johar joined Microprints and quickly began to learn the nuances of the trade. Since Varun came from Gen-next, he brought newer, fresher ideas into the business.
